The self-portrait - or "seflie" - is currently the most popular type of image in social networks. This is a basic form of self-expression that several million people have adopted.
According Techinfographics.com, more than a million "selfies" are made every day of which nearly 50% are shared on Facebook. This enthusiasm, however, has a dark side. According to new research by psychologists associated with the University of the State of Ohio, men tend to take a lot of "selfies" have similar traits to psychopathic individuals.
Researchers interviewed 800 men aged 18 to 40 years to find out: 1 degree of empathy; 2- their propensity to have compulsive behaviors. Two traits that can determine, according to the achieved degree of psychopathy of a person. Respondents who published "selfies" excessively are those "the less empathy" and "the most compulsive behaviors."
Beyond these two traits, the researchers transformeriai confirmed that these men had notable traits of narcissism (sense of superiority towards himself and his own appearance) and insecurity (tendency to compare themselves constantly in appearance of others). These features are usually linked to self-esteem and eating disorders disorders.
Most people do not think that men do such things, but yes, they do it permanently. Social networks have had a major impact on narcissism, insecurity and self-esteem. Men, like women, are concerned about their appearance. "
That's not to say that men in your life, which tend to take a lot of "selfies" are automatically transformeriai psychopaths. Like many diseases, psychopathic tendencies, varying in intensity, transformeriai generally do not compare to Hannibal Lecter.
