Zanzibar Athletics Association (ZAAA), organized an open competition for the game to be held February 22 and 23 this year in Zanzibar. Tournament which shall involve only clubs will be held in Zanzibar Amaan stadium here. Party secretary of AME Suleiman told this newspaper that the aim of the competition is doing the same to keep their players from practicing for a long time without ala chef having to race. He said that their clubs have been in practice a long time without a tournament, so they thought it advisable to prepare this tournament to keep them straight. He said that together and keep them straight tournament also would be one way of finding talent for players who will be part of the Commonwealth tournament. He said that in the event there will be 100 meters to 800 women and 1,000 meters until 1500 for men as well as other field sports including die casting, plate, javelin, high jump for women to fly down for men.
