Last night we were in Italian cooking course. It was so terribly nick nairn cook school aberdeen nice, almost unreal. All were combined in all possible ages, this has been one of the most charming trips I have been on. A must when visiting Sicily hotelschool is to go out in the Sicilian countryside to make a visit to the Villa Dafne. It is part of Sicily's treasures when you book with Solresor. Villa Dafne is a 4 star hotel where there are both apartments and double rooms. They have a nice pool and also a smaller pool for children. You can rent bikes and there is a riding school. You may also have their own pet there. If you do not live there privately so you go with a group there by Solresor and cook the food together in the kitchen. They each receive a apron that you use and then get to take home. Once in the kitchen to get all the red wine that is user-generated directly from the farm. Everyone helps to chop vegetables, seasoning, fry and garnish. This is a good activity when you feel a good team spirit. It is both vegetarian and meat dishes. Very cheeses, eggplant, pasta, vegetables and lamb. It also does a typical Sicilian dessert called Cannoli, very sweet and delicious.
After everyone has helped out with the food and it stands in the oven so it gets a little mingling on the patio outside while the chef got it last in the kitchen. You eat inside the restaurant and the wait staff comes out and serving the food. If you do not love Italian food before this so I can say that one becomes hotelschool completely sold.

It truly is about time I write about the second cooking class I and our oldest son got involved in during our trip to Thailand. The first one I wrote about in this post. The fact that we even came away, I can thank my friend K and Thai Airways. Our first course started at a food market in Bangkok's simpler blocks and took place in a well-equipped but very simple environment. This our second cooking experience was the complete opposite.

Without really know each other very well, we decided to explore Asia together. We have some ideas about where we want to go as Philippines, Vietnam and Nepal, but when we want to keep our journey spontaneous are no tickets booked. Here you can follow our journey which will be in about four months.
The morning we spent back on the beach, we can not get enough of paradise. In the afternoon we have been on cooking class. We learned four pieces Indonesian dishes, chicken curry, fried noodles, peanut sauce and a dessert called kelopon. The dessert we made by mixing tapioca with coconut milk and red food coloring. We rolled the dough into balls and filled with palm sugar. Since boiled balls which made the dough sticky. The sticky balls then rolled in fresh grated coconut. Yum! After the course was really good, we went by horse and wagon to the other end of the island to see the sunset. Maybe we were a few minutes late but it was very cozy and crazy nice environment. Tomorrow we go from Gili Trawangan and further to Kuta Lombok where we hope to try some surfing.

Sur La Table is a nice and pleasant American kitchen store (chain, available in many states), in the style of Williams Sonoma is another similar chain and familiar to American readers. Briefly, the shops selling all sorts of kitchen accessories. For kitchens basic cooking and food enthusiasts, it is a bit of heaven walk around and look here, often expensive and most window basic cooking shopping basic cooking it gets for me. But they also test kitchen adjacent to its retail store and organize cooking classes, a walking classes in which to cook an evening and then eat it. Me and nanny Amanda (who is very matintresserad and is proficient cook than me even though she is decades basic cooking younger) basic cooking had signed us up at night school named Winter Favorites with Le Creuset.
A total of 16 participants to the course and the chef / teacher divided us into four teams. All teams were then given a station where it would be chopped, cut and cooked. My companion, fine Amanda, standing here on the far right.
This particular course was a bit special for all participants received a Le Creuset casserole that was included in the course price. The course lasted for 3 hours. We cooked basic cooking a three course meal, while parts of it went clear in the oven, we took a break and was able to wander around the store (of course something they want and hope that the students will be inspired and shop till you drop a little). Finally, we ate then the food at this table. Disk and away picking was nothing we participant needed to do. It was really luxury that way, just to get to do the fun cook, learn new tricks and then eat it.
Before, I had thought about the level, if I would feel that I was not enough and had enough prior knowledge but the course was really a course and each step was explained thoroughly and there were all levels of the participants. The teacher (in red) began to hold little knife school and demonstrate proper techniques at holding basic cooking the knife and so on. The tools we worked basic cooking with in the course was amazing, I have never worked with soo good and easy knife, even cutting board was fantastic and something basic cooking completely different than the white plastbrädena from Ikea that I normally have at home. She said that you want to invest in a good knife, so go on a so called manager basic cooking knife. It allows you to have everything in principle. On my wish list now has a really good manager knife emerged.
As an appetizer, we made a carrot soup with clear taste of ginger. I thought it was delicious, so creamy (though no cream) and smooth. Some of the ladies thought it was too strong, too much ginger that dominated but personally I thought it was just right.
The main course consisted of a ciderbräserad chicken with bacon and apple. Although this was a true both me and Amanda liked and I will do myself. What I liked about the course was that the teacher basic cooking constantly kept the box and came with a small general tips on how to spice for seasoning most will come into its own, which combinations that fit together well, how to save a custard who cut themselves etc.
Gratin with potatoes, basic cooking root vegetables, spices, cheese and cream were mmmmm so good. We made the gratin in a different way than I usually do gratin. Combo parsnips, sweet potatoes and regular potatoes, I have never made but it was very successful. Then, we also used the mandolin to cut, yielding paper-thin slices. Nothing I use when I do gratin but then I usually have the cutting blade to the food processor and it becomes quite clear thicker slices basic cooking than with a mandolin.
I unfortunately forgot to take picture of the dessert, a chocolate bread pudding basic cooking with vanilla ice cream and cranberry. Just called bread pudding is nothing I at least directly familiar with through Swedish recipe or something I cooked. In the US, breadpudding quite a common dessert. There is nothing that belonged to my favorites before, often right mastigt basic cooking and powerful. But after that we did on the course, I reverse, for this brödpuddingen was absolutely divine. We did a vanilla cream that brödkrutongerna got revel in, then there was lots of chocolate that melted in the oven and a little cranberry who gave a little chewy and acidity to glory. We served them in exactly the right size individual, cute ramekins and then it was just right and definitely something basic cooking I will do again.
In summary, a really fun experience and definitely something I can see myself doing again. basic cooking We peered through their course offerings and there were many interesting themes. I was attracted by it was a one-time thing, not something you need to commit themselves but it's a night and then you are done. Very good it was too. Many good tips and I even bought the home with the same cutting board that we used. A really good manager knife is, as stated on the wish list now too, because now I realized for the first time and got to try on the huge difference a good knife can do.
Another new thing I was introduced to was vaniljapasta (vanilla paste - not the usual liquid but this is a paste), this is the stuff. basic cooking Sooo good and never again will I use regular liquid vanillin

Preparing food has never been anything for me because I think it takes too long and then it's hard to pick the dishes afterwards, but I'm always happy when Marcelo says I'm so clever and it's good. However, I am not so good at cooking but I am more skilled at adding chez panisse lot of accessories on the plate, I think of how hard can it be to fry qournkyckling?
I would like to join a cooking class together chez panisse with Marcelo so that you begin to understand how to combine foods with certain accessories, it was so funny too when we went on the sushi school at Yasuragi a few years ago so I think this had any fun for Us too.

My little green is a blog about vegetarian food,


In anticipation the professional chef of that I get to organize my pictures from India and whipping up something exciting Kerala-inspired right, I thought to share with you some pictures and tips from a course in Indian cooking like I was on a while ago. Malmö has a company called Tappori Tiffins, powered by mateldsjälen Zeenath. She's cooking vegetarian (and mostly vegan) food that tastes the professional chef and smells like it comes straight from her childhood home in India. She holds courses both people's the professional chef homes and in their kitchens in My Möllans shopping malls, and if you are in Malmö and are eager to learn little tips and tricks for getting to the Indian the professional chef cooking so I can not really recommend a course!
In less than three hours we had time to prepare eight small dishes, including the very practical and good flat bread chapatis. I was pleasantly surprised that they were not difficult to make and fry in a regular frying pan. The secret seems hot to knead the dough until it becomes smooth and then let it rest for 20 minutes. Most would rest for at least 20 minutes. Some other secret tip is to not skimp on the oil (perhaps no surprise) nor on the spices. We learned a lot of other things the professional chef too, but I will not reveal everything here but let you discover it for themselves by visiting one of her courses or invite her home.
Already on Saturday, March 7 will Zeenath to hold a short course in Indian street food at Aktivitetshuset the stack in Malmö, where she will demonstrate how to make stuffed samosas with apple chutney. Yesterday I held the course


Yesterday I held the course "healthy buffet" in Sepänkylä (high school). A one-time event where we tested on some trendy new goods and prepared a small buffet of dishes. I brought the camera to the students' shrieks with delight. Luckily for them so caught only an occasional hand on the picture, no identities revealed this time, that is. Thank you modeled so nicely. "Put down the raspberry looong and now". :)
The recipes we made was: sassy RÄKCOCKTAILS with avocado culinary art school & tomato vinaigrette (raw) ZUCCHINI AND EGGPLANT ROLLS WITH FETA CHEESE FILLING (vege) CARROT & ALGSALLAD + ginger dressing (vege) HAMPAFRÖKNÄCKE with 3 kinds CHIASYLT (gf, preserve raw) KALE CHIPS WITH SALT & CHILI Banana Bread (gf ) COCONUT BALLS WITH LIME & RASPBERRY (vegan, raw) CHOCOLATE CAKE (no bake vegan gf, raw - except for the glaze as little heated up)
After we finished for the evening, I decided to take the short way out instead of going the long way through the whole school via the main entrance. Thus by the infamous culinary art school Busch. Horrible flashbacks I got from my time in the gray concrete bunker. It was thus at least in my time instead where students thief smoked. Panic-smoking. I do not know how they managed it for a teacher guarding always there. Self went outside the school culinary art school grounds so clear. Come never fixed either. Or enough to have gone outside the school grounds culinary art school but never for smoking.
